The Shore Project

An exploration of the icelandic shore, where nature-made species and human-made artefacts blend together into the landscape : algae, old fishing nets, drift wood, plastic bags, seashells...

From endangered to invasive species, I collected and classified the specimen I found in an archive : ‘The Encyclopedia of natural artefacts for human use’. This publication explores the potential of these species and associates them with applications in the food, textile, building or cosmestic industry.

What was once seen as waste becomes a resource.
